Price: $0.35 per square foot, plus materials, with a $250 minimum. Materials such as sheet metal and insulation are billed at cost. Duct liner sealer is only needed if your ducts are insulated — a 5-gallon pail of sealer material is about $480, and typically covers a whole house.

Insulated ducts? Here’s why sealing matters.
If your ductwork is insulated — fiberglass liner on the inside of the metal — that liner traps dust over the years and can start to break down. A duct liner sealer seals it: it locks the liner down, leaves a smooth surface that stays cleaner, and protects the ductwork itself. If your ducts are plain uninsulated metal, you don’t need it — that’s why we only quote the coating when it’s called for.
